1.) Many thanks to the persons who attended the Lenten program at the parish hall.

2.) Christ renews his parish retreat for women to be held on Saturday April 21 and Sunday April 22, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Spiritual life centre. Contact parish office for more information, call 227-2122.

3.) Mrs. Suzette Arzu has been appointed Principal of Holy Redeemer School effective September 1, 2012.

4.) Registration for new students to attend Holy Redeemer School will be on April 19, 2012.

5.) Parish Council members are kindly asked to take the Sunday Mass on April 1^st, 8^th, and 15^th at the 8:30 am Mass.  

Holy Week Schedule 2012:

Palm Sunday April 1^st- Blessed palms will be distributed at all Masses.

Chrism Mass- April 4^th at 6:00 pm, Holy Redeemer Cathedral

Holy Thursday, April 5^th, Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00pm followed by adoration until 10:00pm. Please come as family to pray before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament!

Good Friday service, April 6^th, 1:30pm Divine Mercy novena; 3:00pm Passion of Our Lord Jesus, followed by Stations of the Cross through the streets.

Holy Saturday, April 7^th, Easter Vigil at 7:00pm

Easter Sunday, April 8^th, Mass at 6:00 am, 8:30am and 5:30pm (Spanish), notice there will be no 7:00pm Mass.

Third Sunday in Lent- March 11th, 2012
PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.) There will be no evening Mass on Monday March 12, there will only be one Mass in the morning at 6:00 am.

2.) Students from Belize Elementary school will be confirmed in the cathedral on Sunday March 11, 2012 at a special Mass. Let us pray for them.

3.) Welcome Bishop elect Christopher Glancy CSV back to our diocese and we thank him for celebrating Mass for us at the cathedral.

4.) Come pray with us the Way of the Cross every Friday in Lent at 6:00 pm in the cathedral.

5.) Parishioners are kindly encouraged to contribute towards the 2012 Diocesan Development Fund collection. Total collected- $661.75 Balance- $ 7388.25. Our goal is $8000.00.

6.) All St. Vincent de Paul conferences will hold a food fest on March 17^th 2012nat St. Ignatius school compound, there will be all kinds of food on sale, all are invited.

Prayer for Elections in Belize

O God of justice and compassion, we lift up the gift of citizenship that we have been given in Belize. We give You thanks for the opportunity to participate in this democracy, as we elect those who will serve in our government. We see before us the numerous choices and decisions to be made as we cast our votes. We entrust our decisions into your hands, knowing that we cannot make the right decision without your divine assistance.

Send your Holy Spirit upon the people of this nation to lead us through all that is unclear, doubtful, hesitant and questioning. Banish all fears of intimidation and violence. Grant us the grace to choose freely, to choose the candidate that will lead our country in the way of peace, justice and common good for all. May all who are elected do justice, love goodness, and walk humbly before You and all people of this nation. We ask for these blessings, confident in your providence through all time, calling upon Mary our Mother and all the saints who have served the cause of justice, through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen
